Michael "HAVOC" Thomas, US Air Force Special Operations Command Veteran
Michael “HAVOC” Thomas, is a 12 year US Air Force Veteran with a background in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) as well as Aircraft Electrical & Environmental Systems. With deployment time in Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa, and South America, Mr. Thomas supported multiple agencies in the Special Operations community. He spearheaded security elements in conjunction with Fly Away Security Teams (FAST) and Deployed Aircraft Ground Response Elements (DAGRE). While stationed with the 19thAirlift Wing (AW), 19th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (AMXS), and Green Team, Mr. Thomas was part of creating a combat oriented Maintenance Recovery Team (MRT), where he taught maintainers how to integrate into FAST as a combat support element. His time as an EOD security team member paid dividends into training the younger mechanics, with no combat experience, how to be an effective member of a fire team element. Due to his program’s creation, mechanics were able to lessen the requirements of having Security Forces personnel on every single mission. The mechanics were able to provide protection for their aircraft and crew and evacuate the wounded. After leaving the service in 2016, Mr. Thomas moved back to his home in Hawaii. While working as a close protection specialist to foreign delegates, he quickly became one of the states go to security workers due to his professionalism, character, and drive for success that far exceeded what was requested by the client. Now working for Trident Tactical Group, he is the Lead Instructor for the hand to hand combat skills portion of the Close Quarter Combat (CQC) training. With a reputation for showing clients how to succeed when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object, “HAVOC” will give you all the confidence you need to survive the fight of your life!
